Hi, I’m Brad. This is my portfolio.

Acceptance Data Package

Overview: Working as a member of the NASA Ames HCI Group, I helped research, design, and build an interactive prototype for a tool that would help contractors deliver hardware to NASA.

Problem: When contractors deliver hardware to NASA there is a considerable amount of documentation that is also turned over for review and inspection. This documentation is called an Acceptance Data Package, and it typically exists on paper.

Solution: The HCI Group at NASA Ames researched, designed, and built an interactive prototype for a tool that would make the process digital. In addition to providing documentation that is easier to store, share, and reference in the future, digitizing the ADP process would allow for improved integration with other tools at NASA.

  • Final Deliverables:
  • Interactive Prototype
  • During the project, I...
  • Lead an iterative wireframing effort. I created wireframes and lead design critiques with other designers.
  • Lead visual design for completed wireframes, including creating a detailed specification document for our front- and back-end developers.
  • Conducted think-aloud usability inspections with prospective users.
  • Supported the development effort by working closely with front- and back-end developers to ensure the correct appearance and behavior of the prototype.
  • Lead QA effort prior to deploying the prototype.
